SSCI was founded in 1991 to provide the pharmaceutical industry with professional development short courses and educational services. Clients range from large pharmaceutical companies to small virtual companies. SSCI performs cGMP contract research and analytical services to increase the pace of drug development and improve drug quality. In 2000 SSCI was chosen, for the third year in a row, by Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business as one of Indiana’s Growth 100 Companies for 2000-2001. The selection was based on the corporate vision, business practices, and financial success.
The SSCI facility is located in the Purdue Research Park in West Lafayette, Indiana. Employees are mainly research scientists, almost half of whom have advanced degrees. Their diverse academic backgrounds enable them to have close connections to academic researchers at Purdue University and to the worlds of pharmaceutical, chemical and analytical instrumentation.
