Acumen is a privately owned company employing a consultative approach to clinical research. The company provides a full range of high quality individual or combined services encompassing protocol and CRF design, study management, data entry and data management, safety monitoring and clinical report and manuscript writing. Acumen's staff are led by a fully qualified cardiovascular physician and advised by highly regarded experts within both the NHS and the pharmaceutical industry. Acumen conducts all studies to ICH-GCP and FDA standards within its own 24-bed Phase I Clinical Research Unit, which also provides a dedicated on-site Clinical Pathology service through its business partner, Medi-Lab. Both are staffed with experienced medical and scientific staff and equipped with state-of-the-art analysers able to operate 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
